Two students reflect on the season and what postseason will bring.
As the tennis season is coming to an end, Sophomore Joi Wright and Freshman Nick Gu explain their feeling of the overall season. "The tennis season is great so far. I met a lot of great people," says Wright. Gu had a similar reaction when asked about the season and went further to say that his favorite memory has been,"the bus rides there, because they're just super fun. We tell funny jokes, interesting facts about each other, and we learn a lot."
According to Gu, the boys' team record is,"six and six, and [the] singles are five and seven at the moment." On May 10, postseason will begin for both Wright and Gu. Wright is excited for postseason, since she is confident in her team's ability to win matches at conference. When Wright is not playing exhibition, she is cheering on her teammates and bonding with the other girls. She enjoys tennis because she has gotten the opportunity to meet new people and will miss the seniors next year.
