March is the beginning of spring and for Amber Verstynen and Zach Coldsnow that means springing into action on the field. Verstynen excelling in softball and Coldsnow in baseball have both been bringing their A-game this season.
Verstynen might play outfield but she dominates the field. Scoring ten runs, stealing 13 bases, and getting two assists from centerfield, clearly displaying the skills that would get her nominated to be March's female athlete of the month. "Amber really stands out. Her dad is the coach and is always pushing her to live up to expectations and to always give 100 Percent," says teammate Sydney Jacobson. Both players agree that this has been one of the best years they have had.
Meanwhile Coldsnow has shown no mercy on the baseball field. Playing since he was five, Coldsnow's skills have only increased which is prominent in his pitching this season having struck out six people and pitched a whole two innings. However, he does prefer to be centerfield since he feels it is less stressful. "Zach is a hardworking player who gives it his all and really loves the game," answers teammate Kenny Stroud when asked about him.
