Anyone who roamed the halls of Tabb early in the morning saw JJ’s grand smile and heard “Good Morning America.” In Remembrance of JJ, ROTC flew a new flag on May 1 in honor of JJ and will give the folded flag to JJ’s wife on Saturday at the funeral.
JJ will be remembered for helping, feeding, and mentoring students, being an avid Redskins fan, the endless smiles, always having a positive attitude, and the tales about his cruises. He worked for York County since 2003 and at Tabb since 2004.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the New Grafton Baptist Church, 4401 Chestnut Avenue, Newport News VA 23607.
