Seussical: The Musical Prepares to Open its Doors.
As Spring Break draws near, the annual spring show by drama students comes with it. Sarah Garvey, the drama teacher, chose Seussical to be the 2017 show, a musical composed by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. Ahrens and Flaherty also composed the shows Lucky Stiff, My Favorite Year, Once on This Island, and Ragtime. Seussical combines multiple Dr. Seuss books into one fluid story featuring the character Horton and other iconic Dr. Seuss characters that Horton meets. Seussical stars Myles Baldwin as Horton, Hope Matthews as Gertrude McFuzz, Grace Fotis as Mayzie La Bird, Sarah Grammar as the Sour Kangaroo, in addition an ensemble of other students who have a passion for theater. Tickets are on sale during lunch blocks for either six, eight, or ten dollars depending on the quality of the seats. The show begins at 7pm and will be featured on March 23, 24, and 25.
