Jeff Bridges has been nominated for best supporting actor for this role, and while Bridges’ performance does not meet up to audiences expectations, there is still a chance to snag an Oscar. The dialogue of the film makes the viewer question what makes a good person and how far they would go to protect their family. As Niyah Ahmed, junior, puts it, “The movie is pretty sad, but I really enjoyed it.” This contemporary western will compete with many other nominated films to get away with an Oscar this upcoming 2017 Academy Awards.
