Melissa Zhu was the senior of the month for September. This honor is chosen by a committee overseen by Ms. Rutherford, the senior class guidance counselor. Zhu has accomplished many things throughout her high school career. In addition to being a member of the varsity swim team, she also swam for the club Coast Guard Blue Dolphins. Zhu enjoys playing the piano, which was her instrument of choice for Tri-M, the music honor society. Along with participating in Tri-M, Zhu has been a part of the National Honor Society, BETA Club, Key Club, along with many others.
