Every fall, the city of Poquoson hosts the highly anticipated Seafood Festival and welcomes people from all over the region. The festival is the city of Poquoson’s way to annually salute the hard work of the men and women who have supplied the area with delicious seafood year in and year out. At 5pm on October 14, the festival kicked off and continued throughout the weekend.
A wide variety of restaurants set up booths at the center of the festival to sell their food and surrounding them were vendors selling beautiful handmade crafts. With a wide variety of shops to choose from and a swarm of people walking the trails between the booths, the environment of the festival is one that gives people a feeling of comfort. With lemonade being sold at almost every vendor, it gives flashbacks to times of innocence as a child and adds to the warmth the festival instills into its attendees.
