This week, the Falcons (4-1) travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks (3-1). Last week, Atlanta won 23-16 against Denver. Seattle had its bye week in week 5.
Offense
QB Matt Ryan has an 88 QBR rating thru five weeks. He is in the top three in every major passing category. Julio Jones and Tevin Coleman are his top two targets when throwing the ball. Russell Wilson has thrown for 1,064 yards and five TDs so far this season. The leading ball carrier for the Seahawks is Christine Michael (63 carries, 290 yards, and 2 TDs).
Defense
Atlanta has allowed 290.2 passing yards and 98.6 rushing yards per game so far. Expect Seattle to try to play it balance. The Seahawks, on the other hand, have allowed 183.7 passing yards and 80.2 rushing yards per game. For the Falcons to have a shot in this game, they need to take advantage of Seattle's offensive line and try to hit Wilson and stop the run. On the flip side, for Seattle to win they need to stop Julio Jones (517 rec. Yards).
Prediction Seattle 24-14
Besides worrying about Julio Jones, Seattle's defense should shut down the rest of Atlanta's offense. Atlanta needs a huge game from pass rusher Vic Beasley if they have a shot at winning.
