Over the summer, Sarah Grammer, junior, was given the opportunity to travel to France, specifically Bordeaux and Hossegor, as well as San Sebastian in Spain. Grammer's French teacher, Mr. Elliott, introduced the opportunity for Grammer to house a foreign exchange student during the month of July. The foreign exchange student, Emma Sudre, was born in Bordeaux, France. Grammer thus decided to follow the foreign exchange student to France and Spain. Although Grammer did not go with her family, she was with Sudre and Sudre's friends.
When asked about the reasoning behind the trip, Grammer responded by saying that she wanted to experience a new culture in addition to bettering her French. Grammer spent three and a half weeks in France, and one day in Spain. Although the trip was short, Grammer was able to go to festivals and vineyards in Spain. Grammer had a lot of fun because she was able to experience a culture not yet experienced, and misses her friends as well as the food. If given the opportunity, Grammer would definitely go again.
