Last week, the Vikings won 22-10 against the Panthers. New York, on the other hand, lost 29-27 against Washington.
Offensive
The Giants managed to convert 28 first downs (57% passing, 28% rushing, and 14% through penalties). New York turned the ball over 3 times (2 INTs, 1 fumble) and gave up 2 sacks. Minnesota struggled week 3 offensively. They only managed to convert 13 first downs (84% passing and 15% by running). The Vikings did not turn the ball over once but gave up 2 sacks. This will be the Vikings 2nd game without all-pro HB Adrian Peterson (torn meniscus).
Edge: New York
Defensive
The Vikings managed to hold Cam Newton to 288 total yards and 1 TD (rushing). Newton threw 3 interceptions against a stout Minnesota defense. New York only forced 1 turnover last week (a fumble recovery by Dwayne Harris). Defensive ends Jason Pierre Paul and Oliver Vernon for the Giants managed to get 1 sack a piece. On the other side, the Vikings managed 8 sacks (3 from DE Everson Griffin).
Edge: Minnesota
My Prediction: 32-21 New York Giants
The Vikings have the defense that could win the game but the Giants have too many weapons. Expect WR Sterling Shepard and Victor Cruz to have big games if New York wins. If Minnesota wins, expect the front seven to get a lot of sacks and tackles for a loss.
