Stranger Things, a new Netflix original series, was released July 15, 2016. The series was created by the Duffer Brothers. The series entails a group of friends whose lives change when their friend Will, suddenly disappears. The day after Will's disappearance, a strange girl named Eleven appears in the same place he vanished. Will's friends Mike, Dustin, and Lucas stop at nothing to get their friend back.
The team of friends eventually partners up with the mysterious and dangerous Eleven.Throughout their journey to find Will, the friends see and learn of the many secrets of their hometown, Hawkins, Indiana.
Since the show has taken off, it has gotten love from about everyone. Many fan accounts have been created, memes of characters...it's safe to say they have blown up all over media. The long awaited season 2 is unfortunately not scheduled to premiere until 2017. The show has much to offer with its ties to action, sci-fi, romance, and coming of age ideas. If I had to give the show a rating on a scale of one to ten, I'd give it an eleven.
