Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater hosts Warped Tour

Warped Tour is the largest traveling music festival in the United States. The tour begins with a kickoff show in Los Angeles, California, in April; however, the official tour does not start until mid-June and continues until the beginning of August with a final goodbye show in October, hosted in London, England. Although a large part of the event includes music, guests can hope to catch a first looks at amateur spoken word poets, as well as up-and-coming comedians. The tour‘s main focus is set on punk/rock music, but fans of all genres can be sure to be thoroughly entertained by the presence of pop, rock, and alternative artists. Warped Tour was created by Kevin Lyman in 1995, as a way to incorporate Vans skating with music for everyone. The tour began small, however by 1998 Warped Tour had reached international levels. This included venues in Australia, Japan, Europe, and Canada. Throughout the years the purpose of Warped Tour has always remained the same: to bring together a variety of people, with a common love of art. This is made obvious to anyone who attends Warped Tour and takes the time to look at the people around them. Warped Tour is a place where anything goes, and everyone is accepted for who they are. The people, whether they are performers or just guests, are all unique and Warped Tour gives everyone a chance to show who they really are without any inhibitions or the fear of judgment. This year’s line-up will include a few well known bands, such as 3OH!3, Sleeping With Sirens, and Mayday Parade to name a few. For those guests who do not enjoy rock music very much, Vans’ Warped Tour will present solo artists such rapper, Prof and alternative rocker, SayWeCanFly. This year's Warped Tour is sure to be promising. There is sure to be something for everyone. Warped Tour lovers can also volunteer to work at the event, if they do not want to pay for tickets.
